I got one too! Some guy said something about a desk then hung up... this was at 12:30pm (EST)

I called the number and they said it's a marketing company representing Origin Energy.

Like others on this thread, I also feel hassled and will not use Origin again as my energy supplier.

Could be Origin as in the replies below. Never had this number call me before and recently just moved to new location and signed up with Origin. Now have been receiving these calls once every day. When picked up, no voice and it hangs up.

Bloody annoying and wondering if I can invoice Origin for time wasted to attend and pick up call or interruption when phone rings!

Well, it's Feb 2010 and it's still going on, I have been receiving these hang ups from this number at least twice in Feb alone. So annoying because it's our office number they're calling and we get interrupted every time - just for them to hang up on us!

What's the point!!
