This call (which came in yesterday afternoon) showed as coming from Bendigo, Victoria. When I answered (several times) there was a long period of what sounded like background noise, then the call terminated. I then tried calling back (using two different phones), only to find that I got no ring tone (on either phone), just silence. I tried again about 30 minutes later with the same result. I tried calling again today (am hours) and this time heard what sounded like tones from a fax machine. This number appears to be a legitimate number for the Bendigo Bank, so yesterday's call may have just been an accidental call but could also be an attempt by someone to hi-jack the number (for scamming purposes). It would be interesting to know if someone else has a similar experience to mine.
