They called and said nothing, then after about 5 seconds, a recorded message said "goodbye". Yesterday I had 2 calls from the people claiming to be from Telstra, regarding an internet security issue. They may sound convincing, but if you do a quick google search 'Telstra internet scam' - the ACCC advises that it is a scam. The scammers told me that if I did not take action, then my internet would be cut off the next day. Well my internet is still working!

Another scam - calling from Telstra????? Wanted access to my computer and on-line banking - Not likely without proof.

It's a scam - when told the caller I do not entertain such calls, this guy got rough, rude using indecent language. Since he called from this number on a Public Holiday - Easter, I told him you can't make such unsolicited calls on Public Holidays from a call centre, this guy got rough and started swearing with utmost indecency!!!!

This number should be banned - a complaint to Do Not Call register at https://www.donotcall.gov.au/consumers/lodge-a-complaint/ is being made.
I will encourage all those who receive such calls may also do so to track this call center company.

noticed there was a problem with my internet connection - asked for his full name and id number and he wouldn't provide to me - total scam telstra don't ring you - you have to report issues to them

This is a scam - supposedly from Telstra, tells me that my computer has been hacked every time I go online and order something etc and that multiple files are being downloaded to my computer. He will walk me through this and there is no charge for this, it is a free service. He will wait for me to turn on my computer and then give me the instructions. I asked him to email me the instructions and I would do it at a later time when I was in front of my computer and he told me that because of these issues my email was not updating. When I continued to ask for the details to be sent in an email he hung up.

Guy called said he is from telstra and told me to run some program. Follow his instructions but instead of typing in windows and i ran in google... GOOGLE advised that it is a scam..
Told the guy that the outcome is a SCAM, he said yes and hang up!

This number calls random home phone and caller is silent on the other end.
Apparently online it is saying that they are calling lots of households randomly.

Told me he was fron Telstra and that my internet had been hacked and illegal activities were being made in our name. Eventually as l asked for proof he hung up
