Just a a nibble from Sam Salteri. "btopenworld" that was suss to start with. UK ISP. Ask for copy of license, great idea!
He responded to my ad with this;

Yeah this brain surgeon tried exactly the same scam using the exact same words with respect to my motorbike ad on gumtree. Watch out, Sam Salteri is a scammer!

Same, Sam S***eri asked about my motorbike last night, didnt bargain at all on the price, didnt care atall about the details I added in reply to them. Just went straight into saying 'im happy with the bike and the price. Give me you email address linked to your paypal account and the pickup address of the bike so I can pick it up once payment has cleared.' I replied saying, sorry, cash only, as I dont want to get burnt, and they went quite.

Thanks for your reports on here. Same Darwin scam with a bike sale n gumtree today the 29/4/2013. Same line about private shipping company etc. almost identical story.

Wow looks like I've just been initiated in the Damien Demolder club. Got a dodgy feeling from the very start.....too easy a sale. We haven't got to the 'me paying the shipping company first' bit yet, clearly it was on the cards to come down range......off to email our mate DD.....Thanks to this site and all your warnings

Just tried to scam me on gumtree- 15/4/2013 in relation to a bike. Can something be done about pinning this guy down?? this is utter BS!

Have also been contacted by this person calling himself Damien Demolder and wanting to buy my motorbike listed for sale on Gumtree. He was from Darwin and would have his private shipping company pickup the bike, sound familiar! Thought it was suss, so googled his name and very grateful that this site came up. Thanks

Glad i checked the web before following through. I also got a text from Damien Demoulder mobile 0428 465 117 saying he was interesting in my bike advertised on Gumtree. The email was the same as all the above, paypal, bank payment etc. The sale seemed to easy so I checked google and found this post. Sent back an email saying i saw this post and was not interested unlike the other emails this time there was no quick response

Exactly the same as the others. Have a bike for sale on GumTree and was going to pay thru paypal, private shipping company etc. told me it was easy to set up PayPal account. ddrider @ btinternet.com using the name Damien Demolder......WATCH OUT ITS A SCAMMMM!!!!

He just tried us as well with the email address ddrider @ btinternet.com name Damien Demolder. Glad this page came up when I searched him.
