Have had 4 messages on my answering machine over 2 week period 24/11 - 8/12. From the 4 messages there were 3 different numbers given (03) 6107 9624, (03) 5234 5035 and (02) 8317 3527. Low life Scumbags!

Yep, same scam - Jason O'connor from the ATO called regarding tax evasion and left this number to return call.

Yes they left the phony tax message, This is a threatening phone call, why cant they be charged? The number is registered to someone! It causes stress and anxiety to the recipients, and possibly financial hardship if people respond.

I received a call from "The Aust. Tax Office" this afternoon, the caller stated his name was Jason O'Connor and they were taking us to Court for Tax Evasion. He asked me to call him back on this number before things got too hard. I know it is a scam, as I phoned the ATO straightaway and they confirmed that it is a scam. So beware of this number and name!
