3 variations of this number have called me today. Every few months this scam round starts up and disappears after a few weeks.

The number was (03) 5212 9084 with Inverleigh as the location. I think the caller was a female South Asian person. Called about $2,500 rebate to upgrade to a new hot water system. I said I wasn't the owner of the house and she kept asking when she could call back to speak with the owner. I asked for their website and she said to Google 'hot water upgrade under Aus Energy Consultant'. The website www.ausenergyconsultant.com.au doesn't even work. When I told her that, she said she is simply the booking assistant and will 'need to get the specialists to help with your query'. Then I checked the Victorian Government website at https://www.energy.gov.au/rebates/heat-pump-and-solar-hot-water-system-rebate and it says the rebate is only $1,000. She got defensive when I told her that. She then kept asking when she can call back and I said I don't really want to be called because I haven't seen anything correct. She then hung up abruptly.

I never answer unknown callers. Didn’t leave a message.

Assumed scammer/telemarketer. Have also had different variations of this number.

Caller named Jason offering rebates on old hot water systems. Knew me by my full name, despite my full name not being submitted into any phone number list. Told him that I was not interested and to not phone again.

Didn't leave voicemail
