Caller: Credit Corp Credit Corp continually chase you for supposedly unpaid debts that they have purchased from a finance company for as little as 4c in every debt dollar you supposedly owe. So for a $1000 debt they have purchased for as little as $40. Never ever ring them back as your credit year blacklist will start again. Your debt gets wiped after 7 years if you don't make any contact with them. Block their number but they will continually ring you on other phone numbers that they have a rotation of hundreds of landlines & mobile phone numbers they use. Rule of thumb is never answer any phone calls from people you don't know if they aren't in your address book.

Caller: Credit Corp
This is Credit Corp - debt collection agency attempting to recover money by blowing out the phones of third parties that may or may not know the subject of the alledged debt.
They attempt to call parents, siblings, cousins, neighbours, work colleagues, anyone even remotely associated with the subject or their lives in the hope they can get to them. What they do is illegal, and they can safely be ignored.
When a bad debt is passed onto a debt collector, the agency purchases the debt for 10 to 20 cents in the dollar and then attempt to collect the FULL amount from the original borrower (plus interest).
However, what most people are unaware of is that once the debt has been purchased by a third party (in this case Credit Corp), the debt has been expunged for the original borrower, and that is the end of the matter. The only signature from the borrower is on a contract between the bank/credit provider and the borrower. There is no signed contract between a debt collector and the original borrower.
Therefore, do not admit or agree to anything a debt collector says on the phone, as they will attempt to trick you into entering into a contract with them (if you're the original borrower they are after) and try to get you on a 'payment plan'.
The statute of limitations means they can only chase you for a maximum of five years, but if you admit to anything or enter into agreement with them (even verbally), then that resets and you can be harangued another five years or until you've satisfied the needs of these vultures.
Your best bet is to avoid them like the plague, legally they have no clout. All they have is intimidation tactics on the phone. Weak!
i'm a credit collector and they're legally only allowed to call 3 times a week or 12 in a month, but that is IF YOU ANSWER. so answer the call & just hang up & they won't be able to call again

Caller: Credit Corp and Ms Baulch Credit Corp are incessently calling a new mobile number I have. Plus texting. They texted three names of who they were chasing over unpaid debts. I have never heard of them. I am not related to or an associate. I am a total stranger. Credit Corp are disclosing names of the alleged debtor to me - a total stranger. It is a breach of privacy protection principles to disclose such information. The same staff member also claimed in writing they had records showing I had logged into their Self Service Centre. That is a lie. I had not done so. I have lodged a formal cease and desist text with Ms Baulch. I have lodged a formal complaint with Credit Corp, which judging from other comments on sites appears to go nowhere. I have prepared my formal complaint to the Privacy Commissioner etc for when CC fail to applogise and deal properly with my complaint. I am an older diszbled person waiting on heart pacemaker and I have had 4 hospital admissions this year, including last one when I was in ICU and nearly died. These harassing phone calls and more recently texts continue unabated including when I was in ICU. Credit Corp are harassing me multipke times per week. Yet I am a total stranger to the three debtor names they contact me about, I am retired, I have no debts in any event and they will not stop. I have escalated this to every external agency I can identify to get Ms Baulch and Credit Corp to stop harassing me. Its bleeding obvious I have this new mobile number for a few months, it was allocated to me by my telco and quite possible it may have been used or associated with the debtor prior to that. Debtor probably lost it if they stopped paying their telco bills! These so called sleuths could not find their way out of a wet paper bag. Theyre wasting months phoning and texting me . Maybe I should have just let them impotently keep calling and texting and wasting their time? However their misbehaviour is now impacting my ability to deal with my health and medical issues so I have bought it to a head by lodging formal complaints..
