calls then hangs up straight away

It is True Local business directory from Morwell in Victoria. Obviously they are attempting to sell you something otherwise if was important information about your business listing they would leave a message or email you. Cold callers.

The dialing houses in the Philippines and Indian get through the Australian population in about 3 months and then they start again. That was a stat from about 10 years ago. In the call centre there is a manager and a dialing server. The dialing server rings at a regular interval which is constantly modified by the manager. This is so the telecentre worker sitting there with their headset just receives to next call without having to manually dial it themselves.
If the dial rate is set too fast then there is no worker to be on the call and hence why you often get this call and no one is there or they say hello after a long silence.

True Local. Have phoned every day this week so far trying to sell advertising through them, despite being asked not to call us.

I emailed them asking them to stop ringing cos all they do is hang up on me as soon as ive answered True Local told me that they don't have a call centre.

True Local are an online business directory like the "Yellow Pages"
A legitimate call if you have a business that maybe listed with them.

If you have a business they may call you to make sure your listing is up to date.
I run a business and my business is listed with them for free.

They contacted me to make sure all my information was correct.
Never asked about upgrading or paying for any further advertising.

Called until I answered then immediately hung up.

true local telemarketing call

I tried to be genuine by engaging in a dialog with this mob, asking to remove my number from their list. Unfortunately once again it shows that you can't achieve an outcome when being friendly. Keep getting harassed by True Local.

Just True Local checking my business listing details. Not a cold call as I have advertisement with them.

Called two days in a row, no on my blocked list

Spam, Call Caller, IT company trying to selling something, when I tell them I am not interested they call back and just hang up once I have answered. I called them back and told them to STOP calling, didn't seem to care that I was not interested in their business.
