Caller: Dept of Mastercard and Visa Card

Indian accent guy reckons someone had just spent $452 on my card, and did I authorise that. I asked him to repeat the amount, and he then said $1700. He then said he'd transfer me to the cancellation department and gave me a CRN number as a reference. Blah blah blah! Boring.

Claimed to be from Telstra Billing department. Told him I have nothing with Telstra and to go away.

What's with all the spam calls through Bakery Hill?

Fortunately ONLY known phone numbers can get through - everything else is classed as SPAM. However, I would like to label some as SCAMMER WANNABES! NICE TRY!

Just reading other people's comments and find it quite interesting that the same number appears to be used for "Paypal" or "Telstra".

Claimed to be from Australian Cyber Security Centre. Was a call centre with lots of voices in the background. He had an accent perhaps Indian. He said someone in America was using my details. Heard me typing the name in on my computer and he hung up. I don't know what he thought he was going to achieve. Blocked the number

No message left. Identified by hiya as spam. From the comments, I'd say hiya is correct!

Said was from Telstra. Obvious scam.

Male. Foreign English speaking accent. Loud background.

Did not like my questioning him about my details, asked him to call me back in an hour if this was genuine and alas, no call back.

Caller: Claiming to be Telstra sounded very dodgy

Knew my name, very loud “call centre” could hear lots of people in background. Didn’t want to tell me who was calling said they were from “Telstra billing department”

Call came up on phone as 'Potential Fraud', I would say "definite"! Blocked.

Indian man , called saying his name is JOHN WILLIAMS , obviously a FAKE name , telling me he is from Amazon Security , regarding large transactions , i called back the number and it does not connect , SCAMMERS !!!!!!!!!!!!

My phone blocks suspected fraud or phishing.
