Sythesised voice on my message bank telling me to ring some foreign number if i don't want police at my door

This is a scam call. be careful, the guy claiming from ATO asking credit card details. If you give it, he'll start using your credit card a lot.

SCAM.. Called the ATO, they never call using robots! beware of these guys!

You are all overly suspicious. The ATO is a legitimate gov dept, in just as much need of funding as health, defense, education etc. Please give whatever you can.

I rang them back and said some pretty horrible things to them, Not proud but totally sick of low lifes taking advantage of people.

They are Scammers, stupid idiots. Strange accent!

I had a call from this number today regarding an ATO Debt, I had another prerecorded call on a "Private Number" which was more threatening telling me to ring back(or get my lawyer to) in regards to ATO Debt otherwise police would be coming!

They called me, and I called them 80 - 100 times asking every time:" Is that Taxation Office Scam?"

These guys call me twice a day saying they are from the Tax department and I have to call unless I want the federal Police at my door what can I do... I know its a scam

I got same ring to tell me ring this number back. Is there any way to find out who is the backend scammer or can we report this scam to some org.

Someone in my office got this call today. She reported to the ATO and it was the first they had heard of it. Suggest you report as well.

As per everyone elses comments - Synthesized voice. Hung up immediately [tired of scammers!!] and blocked the call

I, too, got the automated message. Second in two days, though the first reported as private number. Followed up with ATO and ended up reporting it through them, so hopefully they can follow up and awful people can be dealt with.

Got a call, they left a message threaten to have the police at my door, said they were from the ATO.
Rang the number back, the guy who answered didn't know where he was from, however knew my name..

I called back 3 times, got a different Indian male each time. They claimed to be from the ATO. When I accused them of being scammers they immediately hung up.
