I just got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from the ATO claiming a warrant was out against me for tax fraud from 2006 to 2014 is in place. Unfortunately, it got the better of me and I did call back and initially I got a busy signal and then I called back again and got the same woman who explained that I better get legal representation as I will need to attend court and all my assets including my house will be frozen. I just told her to go ahead. She then hung up!

A female with Indian accent left a message on my phone stating that she is from the ATO. I didn't understand her name but perhaps Jenny Ford Smith. She says,, The nature and purpose of the call is that you have received a legal loss against your name. There is a warrant out against you issued by the ATO for tax fraud. Don't discard this message the matter is very serious and time sensitive you must call me on (03) 4100 0116 . Melb, Aust Exactly as Helen said, I called back, they put me on hold and hung up, I called back again and said I would report them, and He/She said DO IT and hung up - Spam Caller

I too received one of these calls by way of message left on my answering machine. I returned the call for a laugh, but sadly no one answered, so I left a message with the police commissioners phone number....

"Jenny Smith" - total fraudster. says all of the above, but when calling her back, she either just hangs up when you question her, or puts you on hold or hangs up the phone as soon as she picks it up.
Have some fun if you have phone credit to waste - keep calling her stupid ass so she can at least use the phone line less in her shoddy attempts at scamming folks. she has already scammed others, the Australian Tax Office is investigating and the Australian Federal Police are also looking into this lowlife piece of human garbage.

I also received this exact message this morning, called the local police station to confirm it was a scam, was advised to ignore it and report any further scams.

Beware of scammers calling from (03) 4100 0116 stating they are from the ATO. They are scammers and have been reported to A Current Affair and the Federal Police.

I had two voicemails left on my machine whilst I was on holiday waiting for me stating.
No name- Do not disregard this message, this is the ATO regarding a fault against your name and a warrant for your collection. Please call back immediately (03) 4100 0116 or I will be forced to issue the police to your door to collect you.
Funny thing is, I just had this number connected three months ago and haven't updated my ATO or employer as yet. Hmmmm

received exactly the same message on my answering machine. A woman with no name claiming to be from the ATO about a serious Tax Fraud matter and if I would not respond she would send the police around to arrest me.
