Caller: Scammers pretending to be Origin

Origin is not our energy provider. It's midday and we've already gotten half a dozen calls from an automated voice machine claiming we have an overdue bill with them and to 'press 1' to continue the call. Makes no sense. HI have not pressed '1' and i highly recommend you don't either, defs a scam.

Got the call did not know it . Let it go to my message service. No message left. Didn’t call back . Scammers blocked this no.

2 days overdue on a $34 energy bill. Aggressive and unnecessary approach. I was going to pay this today but they can wait another 24hours!

Called 4 times in one day, no message left

03 code Victoria but comes up as nsw f*ck off. Leave people alone jerks

I've had 5 miss calls from them in the last 48 hrs

Random calls. Left a message with a Voice IVR prompt or “to continue press 1”.

Not answering as I know no one in Anabranch, NSW

This is 100% Origin.
I’m having issues with my energy and hot water bills, I have questioned this via email and have stated numerous times I would be happy to receive a direct phone call, only for them to continually harass me by sending daily SMS reminders or a bill they sent or that they have literally just sent me an email. Then I get my bills via email and reminder emails and overdue emails there as well.
This is the first time in 6 months I have received a call and of course it’s an automated response no real person.
There whole system is automated which borders on harrasment. They think by driving you mad you will just give in and pay the bill - well guess again!

Caller: Suspect Scammer

States they are Origin energy - stated my full name and asked me to press 1 if correct. in regards to overdue bill.
Unfortunately I am with origin but no overdue bill so hung up - Origin notified
Only after have i seen discrepancy in number and area code

When I called back it was an automated message saying it was Origin and they are just checking my account details, that they couldn't find my details and asked me to enter my phone number. I have blocked them. I'm assuming a scam after reading everyone elses comments.

They just call and call with no message left, I will not answer this number if you can't leave who you are and what it's in regards to.

Today I received the call from this number ( (03) 4050 7473, an automated voice machine, as me to press number 1 to continue. I think this is scammer

This is Origin Energy. My bill is due today and they are chasing payment. A bit cheeky considering it isn’t late. They can wait another day

It says it’s from Anabranch NSW and says it is 03 number, I did not answer definitely a scam
