Excellent persistence. I spoke to him for a good half hour (well me and another random customer at the kabab shop) he showed me my error log and we downloaded a cool remote desktop access program. I offered my credit card details but he didn't want them! The random bloke gave him the heads up on the footy scores.

Call came through at just after 1pm on a Monday, I picked up the call and did not say a word as I always assume any numbers I don't recognise are auto-dialling scammers. Call was disconnected at their end.

Caller who was obviously in a call centre claimed he was calling about my internet security. Checked with Telstra and it's a scam.

Lousy scammers from "Telstra Technical department."they have called all week.
They hung up after I told them that if they believed their poor benighted pagan religion they would come back in the next life as a slug or a rat.
I couldn't find my sports whistle...

Another scam collecting phone numbers - calls says hello and then hangs up. Be careful not to say yes to anything with this number.

Just got a call from Peter who had a very strong accent. He told me that that was disconnecting my Internet connection tomorrow because someone was trying to hack it. He then said I needed to be in front of my computer and he would guide me to how to fix this. I told him I was at work and not at my computer he then hung up

Just got a call from this number to my work stating they are from Telstra calling about the internet. Asked what my account number was and his response was 'You are a b*tch' which just made me laugh and laugh! Their attitude is disgusting!

The 'Telstra Technical Department' but we are with Optus. I told them I knew they were going to call because the spirits told me so and they would get the evil monsters out of my computer, which came down the line and through the phone. I told them I could see them standing in the wires like beautiful shining angels. They hung up.

Got the call tonight. Typical Indian scam - played them along with 'but I am sitting in front of my computer and doing a exactly what you are telling me'. Always fun for 5 minutes or so. Parasites!

Great suggestion to ask them my account number. Thanks for the tip. An Indian called me. Said he was from Telstra. Told me my internet had been hacked and I would need to put in a special "security code" on my computer. I hear this is actually malware and that you then need to pay to have removed. I ended the call. When I called back 5 minutes later, recorded message said "This number is not available" Pretty sure it's not Telstra

Just answered the call. usual Telstra scam, subcontinental accent. Problem with my internet connection affecting others. I said that sounded serious but they were luck, having worked in the IT industry for 50 years, if they give me their remote logincredentials to their server, I will fix it for them... click!
