Caller: Probably TPG

Missed a call from this number. But as they are not professional enough to leave a message, I will not be returning their call. I have recently contacted the Telecommunications Ombudsman to cancel my account as I dont intend using their services (Have found better) But they still didnt mind taking $12:50 out of my account which I am aiming to get refunded, As I have not utilised any of their services & going elsewhere.

You get what you pay for. Like most other cheapskate Telcos, they hire foreigners that are in call centres overseas, or even at their own homes overseas. They hardly speak English, or with hard to understand accents, or who dont have a good understanding of english speaking complaints.

While trying to deal with TPG I started getting calls from (02) 9850 0800, while still on the line to TPG and later while trying to reset my password on the TPG website. I had to block the number so I could work without interruption.

Scammer acting like TPG but they are phishing for your info. Very insidious. Hang up quickly.

This is an actual number used by TPG when calling you. However, scammers are also able to spoof the caller id when contacting you so the call appears to be from a legitimate number.

I called back the number and the machine said "welcome to tpg." But I doubted the number is legit so I hung up and called TPG customer service via the number on their website. TPG confirmed they were not trying to call me and that (02) 9850 0800 is not theirs.

Called three times in less than a minute. Clearly spam/scam. Blocked and reported.

Calls received 30/1/2024 and 31/1/2024 - both silent when answered. Other reports say it's TPG, others say its scammers posing as TPG. I AM a TPG customer, but have no current applications, changes or issues with my service, so there is no reason they would be calling me. Call history says they also called me in March 2022 but that I missed the call and they never called back... sounds like its not TPG

Saw people on here saying it is TPG. Rang TPG directly on their real number and there is no record of attempts to call me. Must be scam number.

Caller: TPG - spoofed number

17/01/24: I just had the same thing - called & I answered. Then there was a click & ring tone like someone else was connecting. She said she was TPG internet. Wanted to confirm first if I was the account holder & asked for my details ... so I asked her to confirm who she was calling to talk to ... and she hung up.

These devious pests have been annoying me for months. I refuse to answer their mischievous calls. (The sensible comments on this page have proven my stance is correct!)

I told caller I needed to update my email address with TPG and they said to call the TPG Hotline number 131 423

Usual scammers spoofing TPG Number and trying to get your details. Scum of the Earth.

you say it's compulsory to provide a contact number but you knowingly put down a fake number - that's fraud isn't it? you gotta be careful with these things...

Spoofed number. Don't pick up or they will keep calling you with different numbers until you cut off your number.

TPG calling me back - safe

I answered "hello", got a ring tone and then it hung up. I have been called by this number before and it was TPG on a technical issue.

Had a call on my mobile from this number. I didn't answer. They didn't leave a message. Checked with this and other similar websites. Rang the number on the landline where it was answered by TPG who checked my account and said it showed I'd changed my details recently. I had and he said that was no reason for them to ring me. The number had been spoofed and to block it.

Have had 5 calls in 4 days from this number. Regardless of who this actually is, its known as harassment
