TPG called me to update me about my NBN but they ask for you DOB and address as security questions, which is weird since they are calling you. But the number IS listed on their official website. https://www.tpg.com.au/complaint.php

Called back. Answered with a TPG Telecom she asked for my name and address. She is a scammer!

TPG calling to advise NBN is now available in my area, have also received email and TXT from a mobile for the same within 24hrs

Yes, the caller from this number said they are from TPG, they want to connect NBN for me but the way to talk some things insensible, like I dont have to pay much, just 10 dollars, bla bla..... Actually at that time I was busy so I hang up the phone, then they call me again and again continously..... I feel very wrong..... plus they ask me about my address , if they are TPG definitely they know my address.....

This number does not appear in Telstra's database. However, it is an authentic TPG number. After calling Telstra I called TPG on their 13 number.
It all checked out as legitimate. So, I'm happy.

Had about 8 calls from this # in the last few months. I guess it's trying to sell NBN, but I've never answered.
Very rude of TPG, offputting to me.

In broken English caller claimed to represent TPG and then tried to hitch me up to NBN. Lots of noise in the background. I said I would not take the call and hung up. Probably genuine but total sh*t for the corporate image.

This number is allocated by ACMA to Telstra as the carrier.

Is it really likely that one of Australia's largest an most reputable communications providers would use a rival for their outbound calls?

What is more likely, the above, or that people are just really gullible? You be the judge.

I cancelled my TPG ISP service and I received a call/voicemaail from this number asking me to contact TPG on 13 14 23, which is a contact number listed on www.tpg.com.au

Tried to sign up, I am deaf and do not use assisted equipment, wouldn't let me pay without calling, wouldn't let me cancel without getting a call from them. I told them no, I am deaf, do not call me... So they call me at 7:30 at night. I will be filing discrimination complaint externally and filing report about being contacted after requesting not to be contacted

SOLVED: Been receiving multiple calls from this number so searched it and ended up here. I have a TPG service so was curious whether it was legitimate or a phising attemp. Called the main number on the TPG website instead of calling this suspicious number and sure enough no outbound calls have been made to me. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR INFORMATION! If you are concerned use the official TPG number to see if they have attempted to contact you. This is an advanced phising attempt. No matter how professional they sound, hang up and YOU call the official number back.

My Email was hacked overnight, I bought a 3d Model from ministlz.com, My emails were forwarded to Dungduc2fa @ hotmail.com
I changed my passwords everywhere i could, set up 2FA and got a call from this number on the phone i have as my 2FA I belive that was the same hacker that got into my Email, Facebook, NetFlix.

a post from 2018 says this number is trying to clone phone numbers to get 2FA so be careful!

I have recieved 6 calls from this number in the past 3 days. The number "is" TPG's however when I answered the first couple of calls, there was silence on the end of the call, which was abruptly disconnected. I haven't answered the calls since and they are not leaving any voicemails. I am a TPG customer, however I do not have any outstanding service tickets, and have not recieved any emails from them recently.

I believe spammers are spoofing TPG's number.

The lookup says TPG but I doubt that. The caller or bot hangs up every time I answer. About half the time, I get an SMS 3-5 minutes later telling me that I need to call back about an unspecified payment/billing matter WITHOUT A BUSINESS OR COMPANY BEING NAMED. I suspect someone from the sub-continent or nearby to it is out to try to get a quid from unsuspecting fools. Going to apply a block call response from now on. I am not with TPG and do not approve of its Australian arm's treatment of female employees so I would never join it or any affiliate I know about.
