Rang us a private mobile number.
No one spoke - just a prerecording asking to enter numbers.
We have no dealings with TPG and have never made any enquiries so if it is TPG they have no reason to call.
The caller also rang a number that is listed on the do not call register.
I would recommend that you don't take their calls.

LEGITIMATELY TPG
Called me to update me on the status of a technical issue with my broadband, that they are in the middle of repairing. Didn't ask for personal details and knew the nature of the fault without me having to relay the information to them.

Yes I am a TPG customer, but I still don't like their new-product sales methods. In a row, they phoned me on mobile, then homeline, then mobile again (I answered just to get it over with). All in regard to the NBN, which they have already emailed and mailed about. Very pushy when I said I'm not interested at this time.
Overall I am happy with the internet service I've had to-date but do find this type of phone hounding unacceptable.

Called me 5 times in the space of 2 minutes. I don’t really care what they’re trying to sell, that is harassment.

Caller: TPG Support Callback
I called TPG for a billing issue. TPG call centre queues were swamped, so they asked to take my number for support callback. This is the number they called back on.

NOT iinet, they called me too claiming they were iinet, but the call made me so uncomfortable because they obviously had no idea about my account (which iinet would). She was asking me questions that iinet would have known, and I hung up. Googled the number and it was a company called TPG. This woman actually told me TWICE that she was from iinet. Glad I didn't give her too many details. iinet would not be calling on a sunday anyway.

Tell them you will report them to the telephone Ombudsman. Call the telephone Ombudsman (find number on line for where you are) and report them. The Ombudsman puts the wind up many harrassing problems with phones and bills. The mention of them might scare their incorrect billing off and leave you in peace. I hope this helps. The telephone Ombudsman certainly will. ^j^

Caller: TPG so they claimed
I rejected the first call from this number - they left a voice message followed with a 2nd call about 2 minutes later which I also rejected and again they left a voice message saying they were from TPG calling me back in regards to an Online Enquiry I sent and that they would call me back later and gave me an extension number to call to get to her directly.
The number is now blocked on my phone as I have never been to their website let alone sent anything to them - I didn't even know the company still existed.
