That’s not TPG. TPG’s actual number is (03) 8414 3000. Just a bunch of scammers posing as TPG. So don’t pick up guys.

It is TPG, however they asked my address and date of birth as a security check. I'm not doing that when YOU call ME.

I am a customer and my ADSL2+ is now out of contract. They introduced FTTB around the same time the contact was up. It was at that point the calls came over and over again, the first time I listened to what they had to offer which was the FTTB, but the catch was I had to sign up to a 24 month contact. I told them (which was true) I had left a horrible relationship and didn't really have anything to my name and on top of that my place of work is downsizing all the time and anytime I could lose my job, which meant I could not commit to a 24 month contact. The calls stopped for about a month, then they started again and I have been ignoring them so I don't have to explain why I don't want their product. I have resorted to the measure of updating my profile with them and remove all my contact numbers, as it is compulsory to provide a contact number, I've have put down Telstra Support as my phone number so when they call me that number comes up and they get routed to Telstra Support haha. If they call my mobile now, I will make a complaint via the most appropriate avenue.

Kept getting calls from (02) 9850 0800 last two days. today the last three hours every half an hour. I called the number back as they left a voicemail, it was TPG about "my application" so i called the number back it was tpg explained i was getting calls from tpg about my application, of which i don't have because im already a customer{go figure) then i got it wasnt us no records of calls going out to you, do you know the number they are ringing from? ( I just rang you on it im thinking to myself) then she asked me for the number that is ringing so she could check it, which she did , and guess what didnt come up as one of there numbers (ummmm i have no words at this point) so she explained it was obviously another company trying to steal my custom and she was passing the number on to their internal investigation team,( i am now utterly speechless). Guess what another call i answered it was Tpg about my application i informed the individual that I have no application as i have been a customer for months. Silence then i will terminate your application. OMFG! I am speechless.

Also in addition to my previous comment, due to COVID many call centre personnel are now working from home. Some of the Asian countries are in far worse condition than we are in Australia. So it's not unusual at the moment to hear children in the background, barking dogs, or as I heard last week a rooster, and then a cat meowing very nearby. No, it's not "professional" but I'd rather they were safe working at home than going into a call centre. Given these people a break - they're doing their best under scary conditions. Many of them will have lost family or friends but are still trying to earn a living and support their families.

I received a call from (02) 9850 0800, which I did not answer as I did not know who it was. I came to this site and saw that some people were saying it was TPG calling about their account. I am with TPG and although I was not expecting a call, I had accepted an offer from TPG last month to receive a free 12 month upgrade from my current 50mbps internet plan to a 100mbps internet plan (same monthly cost, but double the download speed).
When I received another call from (02) 9850 0800 I answered. The caller stated they were from TPG and were calling about the free upgrade. They wanted me to confirm my personal details before we could proceed.
I refused to provide my personal details since they had called me, but I asked for their contact number and extension so I could return their call. They told me to call 14 13 23 (and they told me their extension). Bfore calling 14 13 23 I went online to www.tpg.com.au and verified that 14 12 23 was TPG's contact number.
Based on my experience, (02) 9850 0800 is not a SCAM or SPAM number, but is a genuine number linked to TPG.
However, I recommend that it is a good general practice for people to not confirm any personal details to anyone if they have called you. Always go to the company website yourself and use the contact number provided to call the company yourself.
NB If you use an internet search engine to obtain a company's contact number, ensure that you select the correct link and not a SPAM link to a fake website.

Checked no. of missed call & grateful for this website for the info & feedback. I'm not a TPG customer & never have been & won't waste my time returning the missed unsolicited call. I'm also on the "Do not call" list, so they have broken the law by calling me!

The people calling from this number are liar, after I cancel the services with TPG due to the poor service and produces, some one called me tried to get me back to use their service but I refused. However TPG keep charge me the fees because in their system said that I agreed to use them again after they called me from this phone number. TPG also charge me the cancel fees although I am not in contract with they. I asked them so many times to provide the contract which they never do, instead keep calling me on the weekend and email the bills to harrassed me. Please don't pich up the call from this number because it will drag you in to the hell.

I sent a request to be contacted, 10 minutes later they called but there was no one at the other end. They tried again about 30 seconds later with the same issues. Maybe they should move their call centre to Australia!

Multiple calls over the past few days, not one message left. Finally I answer. She said she was from TPG and wanted to confirm some details before continuing and once I said, 'you called me' I was hung up on.
