A few days ago, I received a call from this number on my landline phone. Foreign accent, hard to understand. Something about someone at my number having had an accident. Assuming it was the type of call I have had before about car accident, and to get rid of them without further discussion, I said I had driven or owned a car since approximately 1984. And, by the way, I am on the Australian National Do Not Call Register. Not that that means anything if they are phoning from overseas, doing it by computer and using a local number to fool us!

we keep getting calls from this number (02) 9736 5468 but after we picked up they just hang up. when we called back this number, its saying number not connected.

Scam alert - have you had an accident in past 12 months - I said are you kidding me and she hung up
