It looks as though you may have made message remarks that many times. I have eight on my SP bill, but don't use voicemail myself. Therefore they are going to the exchange system??? All are for 3 seconds

I had this number on my bill from 7 February to 6 March. Starting around 10 in the morning till after 11 at night, I don't use voicemail and didn't know anything about it until i received my bill. If this is Optus they need to sort it out and stop aggravating the general public

This number appears frequently on both our phones, both on phones and bills. We thought it was weird as we didn't know anyone on this number. We are careful answering scam calls too. You provide such a great service to be able to check here. Thank you.

My wife has this number on her bill as well 1st call lasted 2 seconds an 2nd call 59 I can’t remember the rest but I also had to decipher the number (not really just went back to front 8 for phone No. 2 for area code) got this number (02) 9730 9996 but the number on the bill was 12682908(02) 9730 9996 that’s why I thought it was weird

if this is Optus voice mail call back generated, why don't the carries eg Optus, Southern, etc, advise clients of the process?

Caller: Optus This is hilarious, all these people think this is a porn site (that only lasts for 2 or 3 seconds). Thanks for the laugh. rofl

I had same problem with spin-tell /optus network they charged me 135$ for int sms that I never made .This happened once before with Optus network ,I had to get in touch with Telecommunication Ombudsman to have optus's corrupt workers in India and using anyone's phone number for their online Scams ,So change your carrier.

Caller: (02) 9730 9996 This Sydney number shows up on my daughter's phone bill as an outgoing call (lasting just 1 minute) whenever she gets a missed call from me which goes to her voicemail
Our mobile phone numbers are on the same Optus account - maybe that's why

You're 100 percent a retard if you think looking up porn is cheating lol and no wonder he is if that's what you're like.
Anyway, I certainly HAVEN'T been putting my number into porn sites and I have been getting this call, also. So your 100 percent is out the window and you're revealed to be a scumbag.

Caller: optus voice mail Don't worry its just Optus voicemail call back. Its not a porn site as many idiots are saying. If some Bimbo from a dating site leaves a message it doesn't mean that this is the number she called from. This number is the message bank number that will show on your bill if you have Voice mail activated through Optus.

Ladies, please take note. This is a sex hot line. Your boyfriend or husband has signed up for this service through a porn site. He calls and then they call him back so that he can do it while you’re not around. These women are calling your partner and he’s speaking to her about all the disgusting things he wants to do to her.

17 times this number, (02) 9730 9996, is indicated on my Southern Phones (Optus) bill. Is it only Optus customers being targeted? Why can't the phone carriers do something about this? Who owns this number and why doesn't the carrier investigate who the number belongs to, and query their motives? Do I need to contact the Telecommunications Ombudsman to get some action?
