This is not a scam. This is Fairfax Media. In my case The Age Newspaper subscription service following up on a newspaper delivery complaint. On another occasion they were following me up re making sure I was extending my subscription in time.
Both were definitely service calls for my benefit.

Very strange, after reading some of the comments. Ours was a genuine call from the Fin Review in response to a problem with our subscription. Can the scammers sometimes hijack that number? Or do Fairfax simply use this line for all calls from its Manila office.

This is a call centre ran by Fairfax Media. It is NOT a scam, they are reputable, only because of the Indian accents they sound dodgy, but they are OK.

This guy called this morning. Just said hello to get my name I am guessing. Blocked the number, but I believe I will get a call from another number saying I have recently agreed to advertise in some dodgy magazine back in December, 2014 and they want my mailing address to send out the dodgy magazine and invoice. All these comments indicate this is not a scam as it is Fairfax Media etc. Well i have nothing, zilch, subscriptions, or anything to do with Fairfax media and my number is on the Do Not Call register. So if this is NOT a scam why are they calling me? It cannot be to sell their product as I am on Do NOT Call register, and i have nothing with them. Sorry, to all those who think this is okay, but to me that is a SCAM.

Why doesn't someone find out were theses people are and pay a visit, it is harassment if you were to do this to someone yourself on a regular bases you could expect a call from the Police, were are theses people.
