Apparently Accor hotels calling me to offer me something because I've stayed in one of their hotels. When I asked him which hotel and when he couldn't tell me because "I don't have that information and you're just on a dialing list we have 600 hotels worldwide" yadda yadda. Kept trying to talk to me about something or other...saying he'll email me a copy of our conversation...right...I hung up.

Not a scam. been a member for 4 years now. Never a problem. yes they will chase you if you pass the deadline to renew the membership. You get one night free accommodation and 50% off in selected restaurant, plus special deals. good if you travel a lot.

Had a phone call then email from this number to say:
Dear Client!
We are sorry to inform you that on July 26th, 2011 Hotel made an error transaction from your credit card for an overall amount of $1251. For noncompliance of the service contract this Hotel was divested accreditation in Booking Company. Please see the attached form. You need to fill it in and contact your bank for the return of funds. In the attachment you will find expense sheet with the sum of wrong transaction error of transaction. Company just mediates and bears no responsibility for any money transactions made by Hotel. Thank you for understanding. We trust you can solve this unpleasant problem.
As if we would give them these details. Seems that someone has hacked the ACCOR Hotel membership list to source phone numbers and email addresses.

Its not a SCAM u paranoid ppl. Its definitely Accor Advantage Plus. Have been a member for a few years now. They do tend to be a little pushy but its absolutely legit... there is a website for accor advantage plus - surely you all know how to google by now?

Got a call from this number today and for the last few days. A guy posing as a telemarketer and trying to get me to give my credit card details to him over the phone saying that I can get huge savings on accomodation booking over the internet.
He wouldn't send me emails of the details nor were there any other way that I could contact me on. Seems that this scam has been going on for awhile now.
I think these guys look on facebook for friends list and use social media to do some recon first. BE VERY WARY!!!

Constantly call me even though I have repeatedly said I'm not interested. Tried to get out of talking to them by saying I was at work (true) but they refused to take no for an answer. Very polite, but incredibly pushy. I would consider their constant calling me as harassment. The only reason I have answered it every time is because I often get calls from unknown numbers that are legitimate however, I have now saved this number into my phone as "Accor hotels VERY ANNOYING".

Not a scam but definitely spam. Hotel rewards program, expensive, not worth it (if you travel heaps, there are better deals), but darn it if they don't just keep calling. Block this number.

It is an Accor Plus program - I've called to Accor Loyalty program and then to Accor Plus and they have confirmed that this phone number is genuine. They offer a discount on their online membership deal. However, I swear I had heard them saying $3,45 and not $345 before (which is $40 less than when joining progam online) I called to the official contacts to confirm this phone number. Anyway, they are genuine and polite, you just have to pay an attention to the price they are saying...

Accor. Again. I already told them back in September that I let my membership lapse due to: A: Crappy service B: Crappy communication - I had been promised several call backs that I never got C: I requested manager call backs due to being charged more than I was promised I would be for a membership D: I never go anywhere I can't stay with family or friends.
Guess who calls again? Fortunately, I've recently changed my name so when they call, they ask for my old name. "Sorry, >Old Name< isn't at this number" seems to throw them for a loop, giving me a chance to hang up. :)

Missed their call today, i have received calls from Accor in the past in regards to membership upgrades and was very forceful, went straight to the info and then said okay so whats your card number so i can upgrade you. They bombard you with so much info so quickly, you would easily almost do it if you were an unsuspecting person.
