These are the guys who come out once a year and check the smoke detector at my rental property. Completely legit.

Most rental agents are lazy and useless, and won't tell the tenant they've got this service set up, which leads to tinhats on this website falsely calling it spam. Your agents organised it, you pelicans! Thanks to these idiots, my phone marked the call as spam and blocked it, and I nearly missed the booking.

This is comment is false. Detector Inspector is SCAM. Should your rental property require a fire alarm inspection, this will be requested by your real estate agent. Discussed with my real estate agent and was informed this was not organised. Do not provide any information to this business.

Moved out of a property months ago and have been bombarded with emails and phone calls asking me to book an appointment, despite advising that I haven't lived in said rental property for a while.

Two calls from the same number. Claiming to be detector inspector. Both calls have American accents one was a woman and the other one was a man. Claiming that my Real Estate is sending them. But I have never heard this from my real estate as they usually call me first but they haven’t. I don’t trust it from what I hear hear. It’s funny how they do not have an Australian accent both times I’ve received a call from this number. It just seems very strange

Constant calls and voice mails wanting to check my smoke detector. This is the third company trying the same scam. My real estate agent doesn't know anything about them.

This is a bona fide company who tests smoke alarms, usually via your real estate agent

Received letter, not from my real estate but them advising they have been assigned to inspect my rented property. Letter did not come from real estate. They then sent a SMS text. I cancelled the appointment. They then called, it was an automated voice message asking me to hold. I then hung up

It is their syd office . Head office is Melbourne . Its not a scam .

Funnily enough they didn't know my name but asked for it which I declined. Scam scam scam

This is not a legitimate business transaction- do not allow this business to make you believe they need to check your fire alarms/smoke detectors, don’t give any private information to them. If it was a legitimate transaction they would have your information from the real estate, & you’d be expecting their call.

Don’t speak to them believe you me any transaction requests that are required will always be actioned first through your real estate agent directly to you if you are a renter.
This is a fairly clever scam I believe because it seems somewhat legitimate initially until you realise it’s not.

Not legit - I own my house yet they insisted my real estate agent asked them to call. Penny finally dropped and they hung up pissed off with me.
