Called on my mobile, didn't answer & they won't leave a message. Called number back on landline & got a disconnected message. How do they get access to these numbers?

Caller: Telemarketer for Govt National Retirement Living

Had about 20 calls from various numbers. Called again yesterday from this number at 10.30 am, same guy who called a month ago and told him to remove details. Surprise surprise they called again at 6.15 pm. Useless.

This number rang twice and hung up as soon as I answered. I suspect it may be a scam to get people to ring back the number, which then charges a high rate for the call.

called twince in one day and hung up. Called number and its disconnected

I answered and they hung up without a word.

I called the number back also and received the message stating the number is disconnected.
