Didn't give her the chance to explain, thought 'scam' but if it was genuine, get an Ausie to call.

Caller: Telstra Genuine Telstra representative helping me with an NBN fault. She had one of the strongest accents I've ever encountered extending a 10 minute to 30 minutes due to my inability to interpret her instructions.

Caller: Telstra This is a legitimate call, however it baffles me why it was neccessary. My whole dealings with them were via the chat function on the offical Telstra app. Then you geta call from a random number wanting permission to close the "ticket". Just message on the app!!!

Accent is so bad I would not want to talk to such person - waste of everyone's time. Reported at spam. If from a Telstra fault call-centre then Telstra not getting their money's worth.

Caller: Not Telstra I've been called by Telstra before and this is NOT the number they call from. I got 2 calls from this number today within 3 hours of each call. The caller leaves a voicemail and it's the same repeated line by line message that the person is reading from. There's nothing that indicates this is a Telstra call. Telstra don't call you - they text and email. My NBN issue was fixed weeks ago and with a follow up email and text.

Received a call from this number the day after NBN repaired my internet service. Possibly a confirmation call. Remarkable how return calls from Telstra are from the same number as scammers.

Caller: Some polite fellow saying he was from Telstra Called to say I reported internet problem. I asked what internet problem, my issue has been fixed. He knew my name and asked if he was speaking with blah blah and I said 'no' then he asked may he have my full name etc and I said No, I don't know who you are and that there is no issue here. Then he said okay thank you for being with Telstra. From reading other comments sounds very convincing and not to be trusted.

Caller: Telstra The caller knew my name and details about an NBN connection problem that I was having. He asked me to run a test on my computer and would close my NBN incident if the test was successful. I was concerned because the call was unexpected, his talk was quick and message jumbled. If it was a scam, then this person had access to a secure MyTelstra account. Soon after the call finished, I received a message to say that the incident was closed (which it should be). I later rang (02) 9459 8000 and confirmed that it was Telstra. I think the problem was that the person calling has English as a second language and was not as clear as I might like in putting his message across. I took my time to ask him to repeat his requests, slowly. I was not asked for codes, or DOB, etc. Not a scam. This is Telstra doing their job.
