Two missed calls, voice mail (I could barely understand) & text saying follow up to fault lodged. No fault has been lodged. Another text 3 hours later to say they’d call in 5 minutes to follow up fault lodged (looks to be from legit Telstra text number that has been used before) & call followed. Total scam, we have not lodged anything. I have blocked the number.

It's Telstra in relation to NBN issues. I have a current NBN breakdown. They tried to call and then I messaged back in the app. They needed more info/booking in repair dates.

As per above. They stuffed up mentioning my father who has been dead for years. Pity that because of these Indian scammers, us Indians living overseas are look down on.

Was Telstra checking to see if Internet fault fixed. Didn't ask for any personal details. I had logged a fault complaint. Is Legitimate

Seems legit nbn call as I received a notification on the Telstra app straight after saying they’re wanting to check if a fault is fixed. It’s not, but I can’t understand much of what the guy in voicemails is saying so I’d rather not deal.

I reported an internet fault to Telstra, I was put through to a woman from the Phillipines, she said someone would call me. The next day I got a call from another woman from the phillipines and the first thing she asked was that I plug the modem cord into my laptop, I found this very suspicious as I have had a couple of previous issues and no one has asked me to do this. I said ring me back later. I rang Telstra and they said it was a scam. I’m sure many people would definitely fall for this especially if you do have a fault. When I rang Telstra I said I will not speak with anyone from overseas. Spoke to an Aussie in Sydney who sorted it all out.

This number called me at 6 in the morning. Any business that thinks I'm going to answer a call this early is nuts. Like many of these comments, I think this is a very poor business decision if indeed this is genuine.

Pretened to be from 'Telstra internet services' to talk about my 5G service. I don't have an account with Telstra. It's a total scam. Sounded like an Indian call centre.

This seems legit, I just ordered a 5G modem for my new place and had not installed it yet, presume this is a follow up courtesy call.

Received a call from this number while talking to Telstra online. Online chat didn’t recognise the number but they are dumb. Emailed cyber security from Telstra they confirmed the number was legitimate. The number also arranged for nbn to come out and fix my internet, Which nbn did. Never did they ask me to confirm my identity but definitely had access to my internet and could see what was going on.

Caller: Said her name is Sandhya Telstra ID 730101.

She was ringing about a problem which I had logged last week. However quoted the wrong INC number & could barely speak English. She also failed to use the letter Telstra uses in front of the ID & when I questioned her she didn't know what I was talking about. She was unable to tell me what the problem was & how it was solved. I had a very specific issue. Asked me to hold but I hung up after a minute as the call was very suspicious.

I was sure this was a scammer because the person sounded so dodgy and almost impossible to understand but later rang Telstra on the 1800 834 273 number and actually this was a genuine call. But not very professional to leave a message saying your case is 'fiction' and demanding you call back.

Person with a very heavy Indian accent claiming to be from Telstra, telling me my complaint was fictional, and demanding I phone 1800 834 273 which is apparently a fake Telstra scam operation although it is also given as a genuine Telstra number. Telstra is so disgraceful its hard to tell who's a criminal imposter and who's genuine, I'm just confused.

I get calls from this number twice a day. I'm not a telstra customer so I believe it's likely a scammer.

Caller: A Scammer not Telstra

Doubt very much that it’s Telstra. Trying to text ‘Me’ about a fault?? I don’t have anything to do with them! They may have some jurisdiction over the NBN but your own co with sort your problems!
Nah!! It’s a Scam for sure!! In any event they would email not call and/or text!!!🙂
