Caller: National Relay Service This was a Call from the National Relay Centre, who was calling on behalf of a hearing impaired client at work to assist with interpretation. Nothing scam about this number!

Caller: National Relay Service Caller seemed legit as they were relaying message from perported hearing impaired person. This hearing impaired person had been communicating with me via email wanting me to pay their courier a large sum of cash and charging it to their credit card. Not forthcoming with credit card details. Wanted me to charge the card for cost of goods and courier fees. Used the story that they were unwell and in hospital with middle ear infection waiting for operation that's why they couldn't talk to me. Emails back and forth continued on for about a week. Rang via NRS number 2 days before due pick up trying to convince me to charge for goods and courier. This is a SCAM, The timing is critical for their scam to work as charge would have to go thru manually and it takes banks 3 days to uncover any issue with a manual payment. BUSINESSES BEWARE

Caller: The National relay service You guys know that google is free right? the National relay service is an Australian government initiative for people that are deaf hard of hearing or speech impaired. If you receive a call from them it just means that someone that is deaf or speech impaired has given your phone number to the NRS phone service to make the call form them. I used to work for the NRS.

used as part of a credit card charge back scam pretending they are deaf to convince you to accept overpayment on an invoice so you can forward the overpayment amount to a third party, once you forward that money to the third party they do a chargeback on the credit card for the whole amount.
in no way is the national relay service part of the scam just used to try and convince you they are legit
