Check your Google play subscriptions. If this number shows up in your transaction with no other information it is not necessarily a scam!! It shows on your Google play transactions. I accidentally copped a massive subscription fee not realising I had signed up to a 3 month trial through Google play.

They never called, the number was on a transaction from my Westpac credit card. Like others in this chain it was allegedly a google payment but I don't do googlepay so I knew it was not legit. $2 out and then $2 back a day later. I called Westpac who said that this is a typical test to see if a card is active, had I not cancelled the card they would have returned and helped themself.

My credit card has a number of small transactions drawn from what is listed as "Google" with this phone number as reference. These transactions have been picked up by the bank's fraud department. Check your credit card statements guys.

No call, just a $17.00 charge on a credit card I paid off and no longer use - but the card is still active. Banks really need to get onto this stuff! I have reported this to my bank.

Pretending to be google ads - started with “can I have your google account number?” My answer was “get ducked” and hung up. Indian accent, blocked and now reporting to google-alphabet legal team, Aus gov anti spam and direct to google australia and Telstra to have the number deleted - you called the wrong *itch!!!

We had this number try it in on and the bank rejected icy - the the low life is at it again

$2 charged to my credit card which set off alarm bells for me. I've just received my replacement card due to $500 which was charged (though stopped by the bank) to my credit card from apparently Google. Called the bank and they said there were a few more $0 transactions previously - but this is NOT in my online transaction view. If it disappears, how would I know my card is being 'tested' ?

Me and many of my family members have had the same problem he tries to take $1.40 out of my bank here n there i tried to locate him via my bank app my brother has had trouble with this peice of sh%@t aswel and has tracked him back to America California he just uses Sydney as a place of "qoute" SYDNEY which is bot where he is hacking our accounts he has tried to luer us in via Google games n ads ect he has to be stop

Clearly a scam

Continually calling our reception number and saying we have a call booked. Twice today. So many calls from google getting to the stage it is harrassment.

Message to Google? It wasn't Google calling you, it's a scam.

Caller: Merchant contact number on bank transaction details

Called the number to inform about unauthorized charges of $7.99 monthly. IVR only. Call dropped after 5 minutes of waiting. Called bank prior who said charges are not fraudulent and to contact merchant instead. So frustrating. May need a new google account and cancel card.

if you get this number, call your bank and cancel all cards before you get money taken from them.

Caller: Visa transaction from Google at (02) 9374 4000

When viewing my Visa statement online noticed two pending transactions each for $2 from this number. Bank obviously aware it is fraudulent activity because the next immediate transaction had a $2 credit. Reviewed online statement this morning to do some more digging only to find the transaction was gone, i.e. bank had processed all of the weekend's pending transactions and refused the two bogus ones. I reckon the $2 transaction is a probe to see if they can get away with drawing more. Need to start checking account daily.

The exact same thing happened to me I’m with Nab
, I had $45 dollars taken out on 40 separate transactions -$1 everytime all on the same day. I also haven’t purchased anything from google

I had $50 taken out of my account, it came up as ‘GOOGLE *YOUTUBE SUPER SYDNEY’ . I never purchased anything from google. the number (02) 9374 4000 the number is just a voice mail that leads to nowhere, they are acting like google.
