definitely some sort of marketing thing. a friend had a call from it the other day, life insurance or something I think. where do they get numbers from??

I have this number calling me every other day, when picked up, they hang up. I picked up the very fist call they made re: ANZ Life Insurance and I have asked them to remove my name from their contact list. They didn't call for a while but after 2-3 weeks they continue calling. And funnily enough, the more I missed the calls the more they made the call.

I'm not sure whether the telemarketers are just calling people to 'pretend' to work and fulfil a days' target of how many calls they have to make even though their calls are not picked up or they hung up straight after (which is the most odd of it all, why do they hang up when we picked the call??).
Anyway, just a theory, but they are utterly annoying. I wonder if I can make a complaints through ANZ.

I get calls from this number several times a day. I answered it yesterday & it was silent on the other end.

Rings every day.

I have also had 2 calls from this number, I haven't answered either of them, but they haven't left messages either.

Had 3 calls in 3 days. No one ever speaks to me. Maybe I smell?

I just had a call from this number - same thing as everyone else here - I answered & they hung up. Then I came here to check it out & found all this. I am now adding to my block numbers. Glad all this info was here.

Interesting, I just ignored a call from this number, and then checked on here, good thing i did!

same.. they ring at all hours day and night and hang up.. dont know who or what they are but its annoying already had 3 missed calls and hang ups today 10/10/2011

I have received three calls from this number today! The 1st time i answered & they hung up, the next two I let my voice mail get & they didn't leave any messages... After finding this page I now have them in my contact list under "telemarketer" so I know not to answer it in the future!

Today she phone me 3 times from this number talked about insurance and she said from ANZ...who is this person!!! What they want from us!!!

I get a call from this number every weekday between 3:30pm to 4:30pm. I never answer cause I know it's telemarketing, but yet they continue to try and contact me every weekday for the last two weeks.

Numerous calls from (02) 9352 3152 - never any message

I have had numerous calls from this number over the past three months, I never answer and they never leave a message!  Will NOT be calling them back.

A PROGRESS REPORT ON MY PREVIOUS MESSAGE (ABOVE)I received another call from this number again today and told him not to bother calling me again.  I then called my local Westpac branch in WA.The bank branch informed me that Westpac do their own marketing and would not disclose any personal details to a third party.So, whatever you do, do not have anything to do with PINPOINT.Come to think of it - HOW DID THEY GET HOLD OF MY MOBILE PHONE NUMBER IN THE FIRST PLACE?  Not from Westpac !!Be on your guard!

Got a missed call from this number today. Ive read the previous comments about westpac and pinpoint marketing re bank insurance. This is not a scam trying to steal money. Its pretty basic really... Westpac sent me some advertising rubbish about insurance a couple of weeks ago, westpac than employ a telemarketing company (in this case Pinpoint) to call its customers who they sent this advertising to follow up and attempt to get you to purchase insurance with westpac. Its not illegal or anything like that. The hang up calls im guessing are just the telemarketers on the other end hanging up so they can get through the number of calls they have to make within an hour. They would have spoken to many more who dont bother to post to this site. They arent trying to prank you, they are just trying to reach their number of calls per hour targets. Its not right but it happens. I know this because many years ago I worked for Pinpoint marketing. If it really pisses you off, contact Westpac and have a go at them, they are to blame.

I also received several calls from this number. they said they are from health organisation blahblahand asked me if I received a mail from them. I didn't know what the heck's going on and I just hung upthe phone. it's just fishing PINPOINT!
