Caller: Market research firm Claiming to be surveying me about services received by "wellington shire council" Repeatedly asked which specific service the survey would be about - kept receiving the same answer "wellington shire"
Originally claiming to be "Solas market research Australia" - when returning the call the message is "Kantar market research australia"
I have contacted Kantar directly to verify if this is just a spoofed number or if it was them.
I also returned the call from a voip service and blasted DTMF tones to see if it was attached to a PBS Phone system to see if I could trigger any routing or hidden options, the system recognised DTMF tones as employee numbers, and requested I leave a message for the person it thought I was making reference to.
too many red flags here, but I always chase these as far as I can - I'll find a chink in their armor one day.

Interesting that since I swapped phone providers from Optus to Telstra I've started getting SPAM phone calls :)

Caller: Kantar Millward Brown No message left, identified by 'smart' phone as being potential fraud. Rang back anonymously, to a messaging service where they identified themselves as 'Kantar Millward Brown' market research. Web search of the same, brings up many responses, probably a legitimate organisation. Though the big question is what do they do with your information supplied, and how secure is it?.

No message left. Second call late afternoon. If there’s no message, forget it as far as I’m concerned. What a waste of effort if it’s a going concern!

They rang 6.00 pm. Interstate call so I ignored the number. They left no message........ Means it is a scam, marketers or surveys. No message = instant blacklist.
Just because they say they are doing "Market Research" does not mean they are not scammers trying to steal information.

Caller: The Number above I am on the do not call register. So, if they call again anytime, let alone in the evening I will take them to court.

Caller: (02) 9304 4390 Unrelenting hassle every morning and every night always around diner time. If these guys are just doing a survey, then they win the award for being the biggest stalker/scammer look-a-likes. Re-assess and think before you blind call people. If you come across like a scam caller that's what people will label you, so don't blame them and who's ever heard of NBN survey they pay for your time? Why would they pay? Sounds real dodgy!
