A word of advice for annoyed people (former call centre worker here) - if you answer the call and politely ask them to take you off the list, they will do it no questions asked. It is a computer which tells them to call your number, and when you don't pick up it gets marked as no answer and recycled for future calls. Call centre workers don't have a personal vendetta against you, they are just following the directions of a computer which systematically dials your number at regular intervals. Receiving the calls in the first place is annoying but remember there are humans on the other end. Just be nice but direct and the calls will immediately stop.

i immediately got them to stop their rant message, and asked how they had my number followed up with as posted above they have access to it via a public domain (not disclosed) because its for surveys or research. I asked for his mobile number and he refused to give it i asked why and he said it was a breach of privacy and its his personal number. I paused and gave him a minute to process what he just said..then ever so nonchalantly told him to remove my number as im about to block his

Always call between 5-6pm when people are rushing home from work or having dinner. I don't answer random calls anymore.

Thanks for this. They are a legitimate market research company and can call you even if you're on the DNC register as they are not selling anything.

Maybe you should turn the phone to silent so she gets her much needed sleep

Answered the phone without saying Hello just to see what the guy on the other end would say. He said "hello? hello?" a couple of times before hanging up. They call me maybe once or twice a week and I just know not to answer (02) numbers as I don't even know anyone from that area code (nsw, act)

Maybe, BUT, I have a private/silent number and they call it. I also get other calls and emails wanting survey information. Information gathering is extremely dangerous and anyone can fake your identity once they know your likes and dislikes. I do not hand out business cards anymore. A client of mine, a highly regarded surgeon was in Oxford, UK in a pub. A very well spoken and groomed stranger struck up a conversation with him, then the Doctor invited him to dinner, after dinner he gave the stranger his business card. Two weeks later, Interpol called the Doctor in Australia because this joker was trying to pass himself off as the Doctor. "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" in real life.

Caller: Unknown I have my phone registered under no more calls and I’m still receiving these annoying, unwanted calls? These people are absolute pests. Block them then another one comes along.

Caller: Market Research These people called me at 10:25pm at night. I thought a family member was in a car accident or something it was these idiots. Is there some legislation that prevents these people from calling at this time of night. I can provide proof from Telstra

Always feel guilty about blocking this one as I guess I quite like knowing the results of Market Research and understand that no feedback means no results. Oh dear! Will block anyway as they did not leave a message.
