Received call from this number, stating someone have use my personal detail to registered a mobile number and use it for scam. And if I don't fixed this issue I will have passport or visa issue. They are here to help. I would expect if that is the case a ASIC or Police officer will be knocking on my door instead of a private company offering to help me.

Same issue as post above - a lady with a Philippino accent called to she's from the Department of Home Affairs and that they have a piece of paper saying my visa and passport is going to be cancelled and how there is a mobile number by Vodafone that has been registered under my name. She wasn't clear about the details when I pressed her further. I told her I was surprised I even had a visa, she was like 'Please enlighten me' she will update it in the system and then was about to hang up until I told her to stay online to interrogate her more. (Seems very suspicious) and she tried to pretend that someone had taken my details and registered them, and then suddenly hung up. Seems SUSPICIOUS, I asked her for a case number and phone number and address, and she sited Haymarket in Sydney at Central Station - which does not exist.

I have the exact scam phone call today and same content as the commoner made on the 2nd September

Got the same scam call from a girl with southeastern accent saying another mobile number was registered under my name and affected my visa and passport. I need to go to their office to get the paperwork or talk to her supervisor to get it sorted, otherwise I will be in big trouble. Scammers have got to another level.

I received the same call from a lady claiming from Department of Home Affairs and mentioned these are serious issues. I just hung up.

I was called from this number and was told someone used my personal number to create a mobile number and use it for scam. this will affect my Visa and also mentioned I need to sort it out. and also asked me when was last time I was overseas. sounds like a scam

Similar to the above post I received a phone call saying that someone had stolen my personal details and using it to scam others. They answered with my full name which raised alarm bells. They provided a phone number saying that this number was using my details to scam people in China and that it was impacting my visa/residency. They asked where I was in July 2024. The person on the call said her name was "Officer Rose Smith" and that I should talk to her manager to help my situation. After I told her I was going to call the police and file a report and I asked what the ACTUAL implications were she hung up. A waste of time and a SCAM.

recevied call from this ph No, stating that she (feels like an India girl) was calling from Australia home and affairs, about my passport somthing, I said give me your ph NO I will call back, she give me Australia Home and Affairs ph No but different with the NO she calling me, I asked Australia home and affairs, they said it is odd. they normally don't do that

This is a spam number. The caller said she is from immigration department and might cancel my visa and passport. Don’t be tricked!
