My new Samsung S9 told me it was a spam number, so disconnected the call. How cool is that. Googled it to verify where the number was from.

Something has to be done about these phone calls. There must be a way to totally block them out from your landlines and mobiles. Now we are even getting emails climbing through. What ever happened to our privacy????

Client Benefit Services - pronounced my name wrong, asked if it was me I said no, that's not how you say my name, then proceeded to tell me where he was from Client Benefit Services which I had him reapeat three times, asked how my day was I replied sh*t, then he hung up, I will never respond YES to any telemarketer

Be careful, reading the various comments here, I think they're asking random questions to get a recording of you saying "yes" so they can build a profile of you and scam you later. E.g. Play back your voice to automatic voice recognition systems.

Like a lot of us, I work for myself. Every time I stop work to answer the phone in the hope of a customer on the other end I get pissed off when an overseas telemarketer who has very poor english is trying to tell me what they are trying to sell. I have no problem with cold callers who are just doing their job but the majority of these are just call centers trying to train these people overseas when they should be our out of work kids calling from call centers here. Something needs to be done, its just a pity our Government in Canberra doesn't give a flying f*ck about its constituents.

Insurance seller

I am already listed on the "Do Not Call" register, how did they get my number?? Is it a random number that they dial?

They called once, I answered but didn't say anything and then they hung up, about 2 hours later, they called again, once again I didn't say anything but then an Indian sounding male accent spoke saying my "nick name". Sounded like a busy pub/bar in the background, told him not to call again.

I've also blocked the number
