Yep, always all of the time. When the heck are these people going to get their head around & stop annoying people with their nuisance. I know it is their job, but they will need to learn how to listen to people when they say NO. Somehow, I don't think they know the meaning of the word "No" actually means. I also agree that the government need to do something with these callers and to have a much strict law, as no-one wants to hear these Bull Sh..t crap all of the time. It may look like a local number, but it is actually from overseas caller scamming you. You can tell when they ramble on & on...

Caller: Energy Comparison Everybody, I have a suggestion on what we can all do to annoy them. I am going to try it tomorrow if they ring me again. I will string them along by being very "innocent" and will let them waste their own time by listening to their sales pitch. IF their agreed value is more than what I am currently paying I will ask whoever it is to explain to me why I would pay more to use their service! I KNOW my retailer is cheaper! Stay tuned folks.

Caller: (02) 9188 1198 Get calling number display on your phone, log down the phone number for next time, don't answer it when they call you, if you answer them, they will ring continually till they annoy the crap out of you and your family, these buggers get paid a commission if you answer the phone and talk to them. So deprive them of the opportunity to earn any money in commissions from their surveys.

What do you expect them to do? Often, these calls originate from overseas and therefor the government have no laws and rules that can stop these calls being made. Technology fools telecommunication companies into thinking they are local calls, hence the (02) prefix. I'm guessing you've given this number out on the internet somewhere, or a provider you use has sold it on (which they are probably allowed to do if you signed for them to be able to in the T's & C's) to some offshore marketing company. These days, unless you never give out your number (and even then, sometimes they can still get it), you will get these calls. Better off just ignoring it and accepting it as part of the mobile world until the telecommunication companies can come up with the tech to identify and block them. And by the time they do, I'm sure there will be a new way to go about it for the scammers to use.
