Keep missing calls from this number on daily basis. Finally answered and definitely a scam

Called unexpectedly and no message left

Answered and they hung up immediately! Going to block the number now!

Gabriel is using Optus to scam, had a txt from him months ago saying he could give me cheaper phone txt etc, wanted my bank details as he said it’s the only way he could do it

Called, no voice mail left

Thanks to Optus data breach spam calls and messages and emails have increased again. this number called. i ignored. blocked. same thing i have do to EVERY unknown number now. thankfully cancelled optus service since.

Told me I have a promotion, when I asked for an email or to view it on the website, they said it was over the phone only. Definitely a scam

Have been rung twice by this number today, been part of the Optus and Telstra hack.. I don't answer unknown or suss looking numbers.. rang back to be a dodgy sounding "Optus" redirection..

This number just called me and did not leave a message - looking at all the comments I definitely will not be calling it back - another scam

I was on the call with Optus, and it got disconnected. Within few seconds, I received a call from this number. They are from Optus Billing Department. They'll ask you to verify your name, DOB and one time code that you'll receive as SMS.

I just get scam with this number. What should I do? Do a police report and go to optus ?

Do not believe any word from this number.

Advised it was Optus calling about the internet connection issue I talked with them earlier that day. The caller did mention the drop out issue I was experiencing, however I was not expecting a call back. The caller advised they will be sending me a code to confirm account and I straight away advised that I was not going to tell them any codes I receive as I know that is what scammers use to access accounts.

Claiming to be optus

Some fast talking guy from 'Optus'. Knew my name, said he was calling optus customers who were out of contract. Did I want a new phone, contract anything at all? Told him I wasn't out of contract and he hung up.

Didn’t answer it as unknown to me. No message left so not a clue who they are.

I had been getting calls from this number over the past few motnhs. Upon (every time) checking this forum, I decided to just message Optus myself to confirm.
From this, I got a response from "Talitha" that:
"Unfortunately I can confirm the calls are from Optus or it's a spam.
Reason because Optus do give a call customers regarding the marketing offers which will not be updated for us to view."

After confirming I wanted these calls to stop I got a reponse that:
"I have blocked all the marketing calls from my end, this means you will no longer receive any marketing calls from any random numbers here after"

Caller: I don't know.

Suspected scam call. No answers when I picked up.

Didn't pick up. Went to voicemail but they didn't leave a message.
