Caller: Allegedly NBN Caller with Indian accent, bad English and a really noisy bad line claiming to be from NBN. He did know my name. Advised my NBN has unusual usage and they believe it may be someone from China using it for illegal activities. He advised that he would show me the error message they are getting before passing me on to the technical team. Tried to get me to "RUN" an unknown script by instructing me to push windows and R keys on computer. At this point I advised it was a work computer and I have no Admin rights to run anything (not a lie) and that I don't believe I have an issue with my NBN. If I did I would expect NBN to email me. He refuted this as an email could be intercepted by the hacker. I responded that what he was asking me to do (RUN an unknown script) was exactly what the scammers ask people to do to get access to their computers. At this point the call was abruptly ended by the caller.
