I also receive the call and same msg was passing ...... I have recorded the msg. easy to pass police if need to.

Fake ATO scammers

ATO Scam Call

Caller: (02) 9138 1736

They called me on 19/03/2019 and the same message I received from a kind of automated or computerised voice. Saying it was from ATO and if I don’t call them back I would get arrested due to my tax issues!

After the call, I checked my myGov message box and there was no any new message about anything.

Then I called them they didn’t respond. So I told my wife the story and she said two months ago they called her twice and tried to get her TFN and other personal details.

SCAM!

Idk who it is but apparently they have a lawsuit against me and arrest warrant

I answered and a computerised message was saying they were from Australian Taxation Office and wanted to talk to me about my unpaid taxes

As above the automated voice threatened that if I didn't call them back a warrant would by issued for my arrest. I reported this scam to the ACCC. At least they might contact the Tax Office to warn people about it hopefully!

same -i answered, it was an automated recording claiming a court case was being filed, to call the number back and ask for section 2 and if i did not call back asap an arrest warrant would be issued for me :/

Didnt answer the call they left a message on my voicemail if i dont call back a warrant will be issued for my arrest. Bloody scammers so over getting calls like this
