All these messages saying you didn’t answer or ignored DONT HELP. People come to this site to find out who’s calling not to read 30 people say “rang me at 6pm, I ignored it. Now it’s blocked”. Thanks for your story, but I’d tou don’t know who it is, then don’t post.

PS political surveys are paid for by the parties not tax payers so they aren’t wasting “our money” if that’s what it is...

No reply when I picked up. I hung up, googled the number, found out lots of people had the same experience or else got an automated message. I have added this number to my ever increasing list of blocked callers.

Wow I have gotten a lot of calls lately from scammers. I found a app called should I answer. what a great frigen app, no more calls from these idiots. And the app tells you what kind of a call it is scam, telemarking and so on...

Anton is 100% correct and the rest of you are very wrong. There are very strict rules around funds that parties can use for such calls and this comes from their donated or fundraiser dollars. It’s appalling how many of you mouth off without knowing facts. Political surveys are excluded from the DNCR! Also to the woman who said it indicated it was from overseas, what a load of rubbish and you know it. Don’t waste our time with your post for the sake of it story. If your phone stated it was from overseas, then how did you get the number to post this against?

And where do the Parties get their money from?
Apart from donations they are also allocated money at election time by the Government, yes the taxpayer.

of course they are wasting OUR money. you're living in dreamworld if you think it's coming out of their pockets.

I called back number (02) 9134 8692 reached voice mail but did not say for what company.

If the app works that well, then it would have been helpful to include the name of the app in your post !!!

They called me twice today..I have ZERO interest in answering numbers that I do not know.And if they had been on the other end of the line and told me who they were calling for,I'd have told them to get lost.

Anton, even 'unknown number' entries affect the number of complaints and the spam score. That's why they have the option. As for these numbers being paid for by political parties. Political parties sell out our taxes and interests as citizens to the highest bidder to get their party funding. Don't kid yourself, we are paying for their electoral campaign many times over.
