Caller: MicroSoft Tec center Scam: call center noise in the background, delay in picking up the phone. The caller was "from" Microsoft technical center, ringing to assist with my computer. Hung up when I said they have the wrong number.

Caller: Said they were paypal Call supposedly from PayPal to say I had someone in US attempting to charge items to my account. It did turn out someone had changed my PayPal password ( during the call I happened to receive a legitimate email to say so). But the call was entirely fraudulent and progressively escalated me in the name of protecting me, only ultimately to make me a witting tool in being scammed. DO NOT ENGAGE - they are clues enough not to ask for details but rather confirm information. They will misdirect you to various websites and tools that purportedly show you have been hacked (not the actual purpose of the websites) and insist on you installing an app called Customer App - Zoho Assist. Once you have engaged long enough the app will be used to take control of your phone and work hard on bleeding your bank accounts dry. As they escalate they will claim to be the bank where you have been targeted.

Was a delay after I pick up the call then he said he was from PayPal. At that time I hung up. Don’t know what he wanted. I guess if it was genuine they will ring again or send me an email who knows sounded dodgy.

Caller: Visa ANZ They said they were from Visa & a transaction was made & did I make this transaction. I said no & they said they were going to reject the transaction & cancel the card & reissue it & send it out to a place I haven't lived there for over 5 years. They also had my correct email address. When I asked what Visa Card they said ANZ. I don't have a ANZ Visa card & they wanted to know the card number. I said you tell me & they said they couldn't. I ended up hanging up on them. Definitely a scammer.

I never answered so an automated voicemail was left starting with "press 1 to approve transaction or 2 to cancel" never stated what bank or card it was supposed to be. BLOCKED!

Caller: Telstra I had a phone call from someone pretending to be Telstra. They were offering me 50% off all my services for the next 6 months. They said i had a good credit rating which was the first giveaway. They then gave me a very old email account as my linked account which was the second giveaway it was sca, They sent me a 6-digit code to my phone to verify my details. It was Microsoft not Telstra which was the third giveaway. They wanted me to read them the code, which would mean they would get access to my Microsoft account - i refused They tried sending me a 6-digit code to an email account to prove it was them, but the web domain it was coming from was also a scam. Please be careful to never give out any 6-digit codes over the phone, as this will give some access to bypass your 2FA which is usually your last line of defence - especially when they call you
