Thick indian accent claiming to be from australia telecom and wanted to talk about my house and internet account. I asked if they had any idea what time it was. No idea. When I said it was 7:30 at night he hung up on me.

Something about my home phone (which I don't have) - said I couldn't talk at work and they were nice enough and said "ok, thanks, goodbye"

Started calling when at work about a week ago - so have ignored. Good things by the sounds of it.

make this the 79th complaint. And is anybody going to do anything? This is big money business. You complain to the authorities. They say sorry, change the company name, change the telephone number and we back to square one again. So there is only one hope. Visit this website and similar ones, see what the public feedback is and block the numbers one by one. Unfortunately there are around ~4-500 million possible telephone numbers in the complete system excluding mobile numbers. You can't win. There is only one way to catch a thief, is think like a thief!

Repeated calls, multiple times a day, clearly from an autodialer by the silence when you first answer. Wants to talk about land line and internet. When I said I was not interested and to please remove me from their list and not call again, he insisted that he would call again.

This number has kept calling us and the phone rings about 4 times. We have ben unable to reach it in time. Today I managed to answer and my experience is the same as many below. A lady - Indian perhaps - told me I am eligible for a discount on my home phone and internet. I asked where she was calling from and she quickly said "Telcom". I told her I did not believe her and asked her to remove our number from her list.

Getting bombarded with calls from this number - not sure where they got my number from and they would not confirm. Now blocked on the mobile but, keep getting calls on the landline.

Have had calls from this number twice a day, every day.. Another telemarketer scam.. have told them we are not interested & to remove our number from their database (which they are obliged to do once reuquested). Now, we will be lodging an official complaint & this company can be hassled by an authority that has the power to prosecute them.

Called my mobile and said they were from totaltelecoms. They said they were upgrading the lines and I was getting NBN from 1st of Feb, this included better pricing free local calls, mobile call cost caped at $0.99 per call (no matter how long) + other things. Problem is they said I was being transfered to them (NO CHOICE). When asked how I could be sure they were legit they said to check out www.totaltelecoms.com.au - Just because there is a web site, don't mean the person calling is legit. PS. NBN not available in my area, even in a months time.
