got a call from this number, as soon as I answered they hung up

one of those random hang up and call them back charities.. who don't answer when you call back and message says they'll try you again.

Same comment as most of the above - I originally got a call from Greenpeace & told them I was too busy. Then I kept getting calls from this number around tea time every day. Just let it ring out & calls seem to have stopped - eventually

My husband answered and got abused when he refused to give my name rang telco now have to pay to keep them of my phone im on the do not call register have been since last year what a joke they still ring

Last time my husband answered they said they were solicitors but could not give my name they abused the sh*t out of my husband cause he would not give my name to them they have been ringing for months three times a day im sick of it i have rang my telco and now have to pay to block them from ringing but then they try blocked numbers as well

i answered today girl answered with english voice saying she was with wspca, then she hung up..

I'm on the do not call register for my home and mobile phones - seems to work for home but not the mobile.

This number has been calling for months & never any one on the other end when I answer. When I call back a recorded message & nowhere to leave a message. I am so sick of this. Is there anything I can do to stop them. I would not support a charity that uses these intrusive tactics. Not at all happy

I am wondering if they have charges against our phone bill as they keep calling. I have 2 numbers now (02) 9119 4168 & (02) 9119 9752. Does anybody have knowlege of charges against this/these numbers. They don't do it for nothing, there is more to it than just the annoyance! They say it is a charity so I am wondering if I have made a donation with out knowing!

Just got a call from this number. Same as everyone else - it hung up soon as I answered. Figured it is a predictive dialer for outbound sales call. Very annoying as have to stop what I was doing to answer it.

This number rings sporadically and just hangs up after a few seconds. REALLY annoying as I have to stop what I'm dong to answer a nothing call!

have had 5 calls from them in the last 2 days. They always hang up when I answer.

They called me twice today and hung up soon after I said hello. I also receive another hang up call from a similar number (02) 9119 4161.

Every time I answer, no connection at the other end. They call almost every day. Could be a computer that dials thousands of numbers to see who picks up and at what time, so that the company knows the best time of day to call you.

Sometimes I like to press the button on my phone to 'answer' the call, but not actually speak to them. If a stereo is nearby, I'll crank up the volume and let them hear that :)
