I've blocked the number on my iPhone but I get messages that they reached my message bank but didn't leave a message. It's happening a few times a week. I hope the new iOS system can block them from leaving any trace of themselves.

Yes I have had calls from this number over the last couple of months. I press answer but then say nothing and they hang up. I initially answered the first couple of calls but they would just hang up.

I don't think it is actually from a charity. They hang up because they want you to ring back then they transfer you onto a Premium call rate without you knowing. If you've ever entered a competition and given your number then they can get it if you accept the terms and conditions. Apparently they can call you for 3 months (on that number!!). Each time I get a number that looks suss I list it under DO NOT ANSWER in my iPhone and give it a silent ringtone. Easier to ignore. Just use use caller ID on home phones, don't answer and don't ring back!

I picked up and it was someone from Greenpeace following up from a petition I signed some months back. I do believe it may be a call centre calling on behalf of charities though.

I got a call from the number too but I didn't ring it back because I read these posts. But I've heard if you have an iphone the new operating system update iOS7 will now have a function where you can BLOCK numbers and TEXT messages from selected numbers. Good stuff Apple!

I keep receiving phone calls from this number.

Just received a call from this number that hung up when I answered.  Called back and was told (by automated message) that it I was from a charitable organisation thanking me for my support.

I'm going to approach the police about these calls if they don't stop very soon.Reported the numbers to ACMA (a very good idea)....

This number calls me 3 times everyday! It's extremely frustration and I keep hanging up, they just ring back!

I've been receiving the exact same thing for weeks!! its so annoying same message every time and when i answer i get hung up on, i have received it from several similar numbers (02) 9119 4167  (02) 9119 4160 (02) 8999 9043 all together I've received 6 calls, I'm an a student, and have not made any recent donations ;/ very annoying

aimee,  having the same problem am trying to find a way to ban all these annoying calls.  they are very annoying
