Received message on home phone today from James Appleton claiming to be from the ATO acting on charges of tax evasion by me and to ring back or legal action will be taken immediately - scam

Scam call claiming to be from ATO. Repetitive - at least 6 answering machine messages left

I had a Message left on my answering machine this morning. The person threatened me with legal action. They had an Australian voice.

A "James Appleton" purportedly from the Australian Tax Office, threatening a warrant for my arrest. Indian accent. If I ever find this prick, I will terminate his little game.

same as above, did a call back after 15 mins, just to hear what he had to say. didn't answer once he ID himself

Received a voice mail from this number calling himself James Templeton from the Australian Taxation Office threatening arrest if I didn't call back. I called back and there was no answer. I will be taking the matter up with the ATO to have this matter investigated.
