Had a call from this number this afternoon. They just hung up. Obvious from other comments it's a call centre.

Call from Hong Kong wanting to know financial information. Just hung up and added this to the list of never ending spammers on my phone.

(02) 9119 2586 called about a "business matter" and wanted to speak to the manager. Stupid lady must keeps calling even though I tell he IS NOT available ever for your call and she will still get the same reply each time and then I transfer her call to our fax machine. Makes me feel better knowing they are wasting their time.

Just got a SPAM call with a death threat from this number for refusing to put through

I just had a call from this number (02) 9119 2586) from an organisation calling itself G.E.R. (Global Economic Research). It was via an autodialler and sounded like a Philippines accent.

They want to do a 5 question survey on economic business trends. I have received numerous calls from this company over the last few weeks, but this was the first time it was not marked as a "private number".

I have asked to be removed from their list each time they call. I have asked for managers. I have asked for their website. They always hang up.

I once answered their survey and it seemed innocent enough. They promised no follow up. But then I received a call from a British investment broker based in Hong Kong saying I had answered a survey and asked for a call back. I told him where to go.

From the varied comments on this number, I would say it is used as a redirector from overseas call centres.

easier to add them to a blocklist and not have 1000 contacts you hate

Have been getting quite a number of scam callers. Not just from this one but mobiles numbers as well. I have 1 contact name called scam callers. IGNORE! And then I add the new number to this existing contact as if you block them they just use a new number.

Solar rebate scheme changes, wanting to arrange an appointment for someone to inspect my roof. When I mentioned I have solar panels they still persisted that they needed to go through the changes in the scheme, not sure what they hope to achieve. Getting sick of these calls.

A lady has called twice in two days claiming she is from an accident insurance company in "my area" and was just confirming that I or someone in my family had been in an accident in the past 3 years. I told her I knew she was a scammer (especially on the 2nd day) and she hung up on me - I have now blocked the number - you should do the same.

I returned the call and was given options. I hit option 2 to be removed from their list. Within 30 minutes I received another call :(

Got a call for the second time this week (slightly different number as blocked the previous one). Told me I had been in an accident in the past 3 years….No i haven't…then insisted it must be a family member (No it wasn't). Scarily not only did he know my name but also my address. When I questioned where he was from he hung up on me.

all you do if your on mobile is save there number as scam or pond scum or something putrid then scroll to auto reject and click auto reject or if its black list then black list its so easy everyone you then wont even know they have called yee haaaa!

I received a call from this number representing himself from insurance company and confirming if i was involved in a car accident claiming for an insurance. Then when I said no, he said "Ok, sorry to bother you", then end the call.

got a call re a motor vehicle accident and my compensation - asked who they were and got gibberish answers. Hung up but they keep calling without leaving messages.all bogus
