I received a call from (02) 9112 5723 o0n my unlisted work mobile. A message was left, so my phone aid. I retrieved the message. All I heard was a lot of laboured breathing and "a male - likely in mid 20's said: "Yes, Hello? Hello? [More frantically] Hello? There was what appeared ot be office noise / radio/Tv in the background. Then the called hung up.
I called hte number, thinking it was one om children in trouble. I was connected to a message that said: "You have been contacted by a Hosted Contact Centre Service and may be contacted again in the future" Then it hung up.
Is this a scam? I do not know until I get my next bill. If I see they have charged me money, then I will be complaining, because they tricked me into returning a call based on a fragmentary phone call, from a distressed sounding person.
I have not believed in the death penalty; but for these bastards, I would gladly do it myself with a length of piano wire.

I just recieved a phone call from the same number.
A young lady was on the line, but I told her to call me after 5 as I was at work.
I then looked on the internet and found this website.
I contacted Commonwealth Bank and the gentleman I spoke to said he would notify the security department.

My phone, my son's & husbands continually being rung by (02) 9112 5723.  No msgs left.  Very frustrating.  If it is the Bank, "not the way to do business!"

5 times in less than 24 hour now...

i just got a call from this number too - lady, maybe 25-30 with a northern english accent asking for me by name. same thing - comminsure (although i couldnt quite understand her at the time - reading this forum has helped!). she also said that our conversation would be recorded - didnt like the sound of it at the time; didnt see why it would/should be recorded - and now that i think about it - maybe to record if i gave any details; bank accounts, etc? not sure.
she asked me if i had received a letter - gave quite a clear description of what it should look like, with pics, etc - at the time i had no idea and to be honest couldnt be bothered thinking about mail i had received - so just said i hadnt got it yet, hoping she would hang up. didnt quite work.
apparently she is going to call back next week. dammit.

Just got a call from this number. Thanks for all the previous advice I hope they call back so I can lay down some abuse
