Someone called my mobile claiming to be from the Commonwealth Bank and wishing to discuss CommInsure. After contacting the Bank, I was informed that this is in fact a scam, and not a Bank service. The Bank's representative also indicated that they will never ask for confidential information such as account numbers for calls they initiate.

I also received a call from (02) 9112 5723 on my unlisted work mobile. Same as Rick and John - a lot of laboured breathing and young-sounding female (?mid 20's?) said: "Hello? Hello? Hello? There was what appeared to be office noise / radio and TV in the background. Then the caller hung up.
I wish they would
(a) identify themselves and
(b) stop.
