I missed a call from this number yesterday just before 7pm.

They will probably ring back at another inconvenient time.

I've been in this situation before, and it's always been direct marketting calls that are follow up to junk mail that CBA have sent me a few weeks prior.

In all the time I have been a CBA customer I have NEVER received a call from or on behalf of CBA that has been for any purpose other than trying to sell a product to me (that I don't want).

The DNC register will not help this time because as I have an existing "relationship" with CBA they are entitled to call me (or outsource that task to someone else - which is what is happening here).

In the past, they have always gone away eventually - until next time the CBA is doing a marketting drive.

It seems that the best course of action might be to write to the CBA to tell them that I no longer have a phone contact number. I'll still receive junk mail in the post from them from time to time, but that's less of an inconvenience to me than the phone calls.

Here they go again, I swear if i could reach down the phone line i'd drag them through it. Bloody annoying.

Having a silent number i'm angry i've been getting missed calls from this number for 2 weeks now. I have rung the number back serveral times only to be greeted with the message:"Host It Contact Centre Services tried to ring and will try again later".Rang Telstra who advised that the number is from another service provider and may not be in Oz. Telstra has blocked the number for a tiny $2.50 per month and i will unblock after the month which should solve the problem hopefully.

yep - i am with vodafone too . i had a missed call - called back - got the recorded message - hung up .they called me back and said they were from the NRMA and wanted to make sure that my car battery was ok. Tje thing was that i did call the NRMA just yesterday about my battery for a jump start. So wasnt sure - but when i advised that they never called in the past about it .... she gigles and said that they were just being especially nice then hung up - ver y very dodgy ! !not sure what to do with this - didnt ask any personal details and not sure if i should be worried ?

i actually answered 1 of they called they spoke thery said they were from coommonwealth bank trying to sell me some insurance for my credit card. i rang cba they had no idea abot it . so i stoped my credit card strait away
