I have logged a complaint with the Australian Do not call register 1300 792 958. select option 4 and you can talk to someone. I suggest you do this as well. Yes it is annoying when they hang up on you.

Update. I sent an email but it may have hit their spam box. I called (02) 8207 9000 and after introducing myself, asked to speak to their privacy officer. They asked why and to my reply, politely said I'd be better off talking to customer service to make sure it was removed. Customer service took my number and first name and said they'd remove it. No hard sell or attitude, they were very courteous from the customer service side.

He was Carl calling on behalf of the Commonwealth Bank to tell me about some new Insurance they are offering. Last week they called me as well and it was a man from Optus asking if I was happy with my current service.
I call back and I get a recording saying 'you have been contacted by a hosted contact service provider, you may be contacted again in the future'
Damn call centers!!

They called my wife's mobile but actually spoke. Someone called Claudia said she had some benefits for us....then we told her off and hung up.
