That's why they keep calling you.
Some 'businesses' are computerised, and the computer calls the numbers, when you answer it disconnects but this is done so they then know the best time to call you.

The do no call register has no effect on charities, religious organisations, educational institutions and political parties.

Over this number calling everyday at same time. Dont believe real charity. I am on do not call register too.

Yes I had a call from this number again today. Just ignored it and the message on the answering machine was just a long BEEEEP sound!

caller id on my work mobile showed number to be (02) 9112 3700. when answered, the call was disconnected. very frustrating

This number calls frequently, very annoying, they wait until you answer a few times then they start with their garbage.

stop ringing us here at 1300 808 000 - Soils Aint soils if not I will take this further as this is annoying us extremely as we are a call centre taking incomings not make stupid phones

Got a call from this number (15-May-2013) claimed to be from SES... I politely tell the gentleman that I had got too many scam call of this nature from different charity / volunteer organisations recently! Do NOT give out any money to these caller. Donate direct to your favourite charity/volunteer if wish.

Ok I have now received my letter. It is from the Red Cross for a Raffle. I have checked the Permit No & Confirmed the ABN. Have also phoned the Red Cross from their website phone number (not the one on the letter - you can never be too careful!). It is legit.

If you're being 'harassed' you may be able to speak to your phone service providor who will then contact them and 'request' they stop.. if there are something like 3 more 'incidents' the number can be blocked from your phone at no cost... not sure if it applies to telemarketing as I got that info when I had a random threat on my mobile..

Repeated calls from this number, which hangs up as soon as answered. If I ever get to talk to someone I doubt I will be donating-probably suggest what to do with their auto-dialler

Rung twice in last 2 days. When you answer they just hang up.

They aren't supposed to be calling me, I'm on the "Do Not Call" register!! Have had this number call twice in the past few days & if I find out who it is, I will be reporting them so they can be fined!!
