No Message = Scammer, Survey, marketing or data collection to create sell lists for scammers.

Guys...... If they leave no message, it is not a genuine call you want to entertain.
Screen all calls. If they are not already a contact, let it go to message bank.
If they leave no message it is not a genuine call.

Review your greeting message on message bank. Replace it if need be. Don't give them your first or last name. Don't give other phone numbers. Don't give company names. Don't volunteer any information whatsoever. If you are elderly, get a young person to place your greeting because they are searching for old folk who are easy to scammed.

Simply say "Sorry I missed your call. Leave a message".
If they repeatedly leave no message. Ban their number.

Asked a lot About how you connect to Internet, smart TVs, media boxes, people in house, ages, careers, type of dwelling.. some seemed weird to ask but nothing to scream “red flag”.

Caller: Nielsen Canstar australia

Called and stated they were completing a survey regarding TV ratings and TV use. But asked unrelated questions regarding whether we lived in house or unit, whether we had computers, or names (not provided) and what we do for a living including whether we work full time etc. Couldn’t get off the phone fast enough when I began to question the relevance of their questions.

They called at 17:42 and didn't bother to leave a message. Blocked their number. Abuse of the telecommunications services used to be considered a crime. If this occurred on the old fixed phone network, once upon a time, when government-owned, Telecom Australia would trace calls and issue a warning to the offender. With the ridiculous number of nuisance calls these days, their resources would be wasted. I'm seriously considering using the android caller ID and spam call protection which would auto-block calls coming from either private numbers or non-contacts.

Number is clearly from NSW but they claimed to be doing a survey for Melbourne city council (I'm based in VIC). Said I was busy and they said they'd call back

I’ve received numerous unsolicited calls from this number and a number of variants for the same claiming to be calling regarding TV surveys. I just hang up, but they called back and left a voicemail for me telling me I need to learn some social skills lol

They called at 7pm answered then they hung up. Definitely a scammer

I've made a list of all these numbers that I BLOCK and sending them to the authorities
My BLOCKED LIST has overflowed

Why would they ring my prepaid mobile number which I have for emergency only and not even my family know what the number is
They could have left a message if they wanted to speak to me so the only answer for this are they are BLOODY NUISANCE SCAMMERS

A guy called and asked a lot of questions about tv and home internet. He then proceeded to things like demographics (number, gender etc) in the house which I felt too uncomfy to give. This guy then became rude and aggressive in this tone and demanded me the share these info as they are not ‘sensitive’ from his perspective (Helllllllo??) I just said bye and hung up. Either a scam or this survey company needs training for there callers.

Man said he was from Banyule Council. Wanted to know if there were any females over 18 in the house to talk about Council services.

At 3.00PM, received a call from (02) 9101 8663, once I answered, the voice of a young lady said Hello and hang up. I immediately put the number on my blocked list without thinking twice.

Number not familiar to me. No voicemail left. Suspect scam call.

Turns out to be a survey company scam. They started as if they are from my council. Not sure
