Lynda in Brisbane
Posted on April 11, 2018 Caller type: Unknown Location: Australia
Had this number ring me a few times over the past week, had googled their number and knew it was a scammer from past responses.... So here is what happened today...phone rang, I answered.. He knew my name and postal address.. And also my mobile number... He asked if he was talking to me and I said NO that I was Lyndas SISTER. he said he needed to talk to Lynda and I said she wasnt available. He had a strong Indian accent and did not know how to pronounce certain words that he should have known if he was in Australia. I asked where he was ringing from and he said "Ass-tray-lee-ya" so I said I did not believe him. I asked what the intention of the call was and he said he wanted to talk to Lynda about a POSSIBLE CAR ACCIDENT SHE HAD IN THE PAST YEAR. I then asked for an insurance claim number or a policy number from the insurance, and he did not have that information, so I asked if he was from an insurance company or legal firm, and he said he could help Lynda get 3000POUNDS so I said "here in Australia we do not use Pounds, we use Australian dollars and he said rhe accident may have been overseas. I kept this jerk on the phone for over 15 minutes trying to find out who the freak it was and I ended up saying I felt like he was a scammer and he said it was nothing like that all we need is her BANK DETAILS to transfer the compensation amount. I then said this to him.. Ready.. I said very sternly, that he WAS talking to Lynda, I have NEVER had a car accident, he had just wasted 15 minutes of MY life but he is wasting his WHOLE life working for a scam organisation. I said he should go and get a job that gives him integrity when he pays his bills so he wakes up every day knowing he is helping others rather than scamming people of their hard earned money. Think about your job you scam people. Phewww I feel so good.. He didnt get paid for that 15 minutes of wasting HIS time. Advise people... Keep them on the phone, act like you dont hear them, tell them you need to do anything for two minutes or you have to go get the person to talk to them and just put the phone down and walk away... These scum scammers need to learn the only time they waste is THEIRS. Have a great day guys, hope you liked my comment.

A person with a strong Indian accent called and she introduced herself as Jessica. Asked me if I have been involved in a car accident in the past 12 months. Cannot pronounce my name correctly where every Australian could pronounce. I was trying to get more information out of the call but the call was cut off and she did not call back as I suspected that it was a scam.

Total scam had a big fight with him over the phone. I told him that his company have called me before, and I have requested that they never call me again. I called him out on the fact it was a scam and he started yelling at me over the phone I told him my phone number is on the do not call register and he has rung anyway. Total scammers and might I add incredibly rude when you start to question their motifs.

Same as above calls, when I answered they asked me to confirm my name. Before I preceded I asked what the call was about. Then he went on to say he was from Accident Claims Management and wanted to confirm if my name on their records was correct. I didn't say yes or no. Asked what the call was about again. He asked me to confirm my address. I didn't say anything, he then asked me if the address they had on file was correct. He proceeded to give me an old address. I hung up and blocked the number. How do these people get your number, name, and former addresses.

same number called me yesterday and then they hung up. I didn't ring back thinking this is a scam where you get charged for the call. Check your phone account now for any premium call costs.
