Scam robot call "claiming" to be from Centrelink advising me that my pension had been increased (too funny!).

I got the same automated voice message. I was suspicious straight away. BEWARE OF SCAMMERS. Bad people with no morals or consciences. SHAME ON YOU PROFITTING OFF PENSIONERS.

This happens to so many people - some intervention should be made to stop this as elderly pensioners can be hoodwinked. Why is it allowed to continue?

Stating I am getting an Increase in pension asked to press 1 option -just hung -sure scam-call received on 10 Jan 2018 15.50 hrs

About Centrelink payments

They rang twice, I answered the second time. It was an automated female voice claiming they were from Centrelink and had been trying to contact me regarding a debt.
As the recording went on the voice wasn't clear so I really couldn't understand what they were actually saying. Then the call ended.
10 minutes later the same number was ringing back?
