Caller: Kids for cancer foundation Australia

Answered phone.
Australian accent (female) asked for my wife using wifes first name.
I replied not home,
Caller said that they were seeking donations for kids with cancer.
I asked where she was calling from as we are sick of these calls that do not say who they represent or where their from.
Caller replied, Sydney whereas I stated that we no longer donate money to any oraganization that solicits over the phone.
The caller then politely said ok and hung up the phone.

WHY don't they say who their calling from as soon as you answer the phone?.
